6.28.2004 let's see. saturday. i felt like i didn't get much accomplished during the day - though i did move a small car load of stuff from my house. and i took a garbage bag and a half to the salvation army - all those size 6 jeans that will never fit again, i finally dumped. went to pride saturday nigth - hung out with "the gang" who inevitably annoyed me through their drunken immaturity. but did i expect much else? volunteering was much more enjoyable - i'm telling you, gay boys make me laugh.the parade was fun - the line-up is still the best part of pride ever - all those people congregated into two city blocks - dancing to their music, drag queens dramatizing the loss of their make-up in the georgia summer humidity...it's the best part. i'd tell people to skip the parade and just wander around the pre-party. and of course after we crossed the line at the end, the sky just dumped. thankfully, bob was nearby to pick me up (didn't matter much though as i was already dripping wet). we let the dogs get muddy yesterday - they looked happy dashing through the sludge and water -- and when they haven't had chances to go to the puppy park recently (damn rain), then how could you not let them play? i'm house-sitting for andrea - scout and dolce both seem to have mellowed out a bit more - scout's getting really old now...but still stubborn as ever. my to-do list seems to get ever longer, not shorter - i have to go to gsu today to talk to financial aid about getting student loans. and then i have to track down kenshata somehow. that girl is not reachable. period. and i really really need to get in touch with my lawyer and get this case moving along more quickly. and health insurance - yeah, i need to find some of that too. anyway - my dreams last night - i arrived in san diego and hopped on the trolley - when i got off, with bob (i thought) it actually turned out that steven bell was by my side. we went into a ymca to use the bathroom and ended up taking toilet paper with us when we left. then, steven was gone and bob was there - walking the streets of san diego with me. i spotted an H&M and like any good girl got so excited about it and made bob go in with me. funny thing is, i walked past most of the ultra-hip clothing and shopped in a section with things like vases, and pillows, and towels, and bedding - strange. then my dream turned into a coffee date of several girls from high school and jessica smith was telling us that she couldn't drink alcohol anymore because the doctors had found out that it was the primary cause of her mental illness/disorder or something and i told her it was ok and that i'd start making her virgin cocktails so she wouldn't feel bad about not being able to drink with everyone. and then my dream turned into trying to go see farenheit 9/11 and rob jones was there (isn't this WEIRD) with a whole group of us (nevena too) and then i realized that if i went to the late show (at potato lofts theater) i wouldn't get in bed til 3 a.m. and i had a 15 hour work-day ahead of me. so i went home. the end. i really don't know where this all comes from. i haven't even thought about these people in ages. and san diego - i haven't been there in four years. 1 Comments:A link that may be of some help: http://www.gsu.edu/%7Ewwwdos/healthinsurance.html By , at 9:11 AM |
