all i could find was a river in pieces...
ok. ready for the weekend wrap-up. allright...go.
friday - worked 12 hours, got take-out sushi from thai bowl, went home and went to bed.
saturday - got up at 7, went to the business communication skills workshop at GSU, walked in to my first gsu building as a student to a woman, walking around in a white hanes t-shirt (fell to her upper thigh) nothing else - no shoes, nada...walking around with a bag of chips asking me for money. understandably there are bums downtown, but i was taken aback to get accosted as i waited by the elevators...workshop, mercifully, got out at 1 instead of 4....so i went to kat's house (where i house-sat 4 dogs and 4 kitties for the weekend - including 21 year-old grizzabella the purring/hissing/spitting cat) and took a much-required nap. woke up, made plans with nevena for much later (yes it was 3 p.m. but my day was just beginning apparently), and took off for BFE alpharetta - yes, windward parkway (actually 11 miles OFF of windward parkway) - which took me about 40 minutes to get to. had to buy wine for julie and eric's wine shower - thank god the people at the wine store pretty much picked it out for me and i forked over the $44.00 for the bottle...then to the party, it was pretty damn nice - eric's parents have an estate with a guest house which is larger than mine and bob's place...of course i made insta-friends with the two gay boys and played with them the whole time....drank pepsi instead of all the wine available, ate way too much gourmet food pool-side and marveled at this yuppy-land paradise i was in. then it was time to head back to the ATL....on the way back down windward pkwy to 400 i saw a big flat-bed truck, laden with pallets and fondly remembered my "run in with the law" way back when....i think my parents are still in the dark about that one - should make a good story at christmas..so then i get back to atlanta, walk my dogs, quickly wrap cds, call-in an order for wings from taco mac, snag bob from work, and head to jenny's for her cd swap party....it was entertaining...for a while..but after the swapping continued on for over an hour, i was ready to go...so we went and got nevena, went home, hung out for a bit, and then lil bit and i returned to kat's house...where i fell more in love with the stray kat's taken in - dingo dog, aka judd -- according to nevena...i want her. too bad i've been saying we can't get another dog til we get a yard. i'm still loving her mucho - she's a mutt - a little pit in her somewhere. yesterday, we went to my open-lake swim in peachtree city. dear god, i saw the golf carts - they've even got over-passes built over the roadways for them...swam, thought i'd drown...got a silver medal for my age group (not so cool since there were only 2 of us)...got in the car to go home, and promptly got sick. yup. attack of the killer-cold. so i spent the rest of the day pretty pitiful - we did meet christen and cassi for dinner...but then i went home and crashed early. suffice to say, i'm a bit extra-tired this monday. and have to rally up the energy and go canvassing with my old roomie -- we're doing some political stuff regarding georgia's version of the FMA - gonna try to get those conservatives to vote for the gays...
ok. i've blithered. but i just worked for two hours without even thinking of a break. so i took my break.
