how you doin...where you been...i'm further behind now...than i was back then...lost in some old maze...

it's strange how your life, and its priorities, can shift so much and you only wake up to notice far after the dream has ended....or perhaps it's that i don't feel big, bumpy changes..rather, it's an easing from one to another...i think back 8 weeks ago....life was rather different - given, we had all our animals, lived in the same place, etc....but now, i have school. bob works in roswell. and i've just noticed that perspective has changed some. not in any earth-shaking...or even trembling kind of way, but it's a definite alteration. i feel much happier this way. perhaps it's because i like school....and the ever-changing dynamic of it. though i can't believe i'm saying that on the eve of my accounting mid-term. i've been studying for days, i still can't put together a cash flow statement, and this thing is tomorrow at 1 p.m.
the weather has gone back to that pre-hurricane state - where it looks like the sky is about to let out cries of anguish and pour his tears all-over us, but instead a cool wind whips by, raising goose-bumps, and keeping the rain at bay...
sydney has not not emerged from under the bed in over a week. i only saw him yesterday b/c i finally got down on my hands and knees and went looking for him. i feel really bad that he's had no affection of any sort. but apparently this is his normal mode of functioning and not just the jelena/bob/animal menagerie effect on him. but still....
jumping topics again, but what else is this except a free-form corral for my thoughts....i joined a football pool at work (though no $$ involved...which bob says is no good...but we do it for bragging rights)...apparently i, and a few other co-workers (including the woman who selected teams by deciding which city she would rather vacation in) are at the bottom currently - my teams went 8-7. it should have been 9-6 but i changed one on a recommendation. given, this is pro-football we're talking about. and i could give a shit about pro-football..and my knowledge IS shit regarding it. oh well. as far as college teams go, i think my favorites (i know, there are 8 of them) did ok...even though several shouldn't have one considering how badly they played. the winners included alabama, ohio state, oklahoma state, uga, ga tech, and texas. the only loss was michigan and that was just crap. and nc state was off this week. wow. i should have entered a pool or something.
ok. time to research james thurber and read for the other class i have tomorrow.
