"you chew it, but still...."

ok,
so i've posted tons of pictures lately. however, i am now posting for real.
i just signed up (about an hour ago) for the oakhurst st. patty's day 5K this saturday. yes, this means that i am now going running tonight. whew. we'll see how far i run during that 5k! i'm also going to the five spot at 10 to see anita's boyfriend's band play - they're a jazz fusion band and pretty bad-ass. before then, i have to be productive. my productivity has gone down since i got babies...i mean, really...you have to prioritize what's important and only get those things done.

speaking of babies, landa had her's!!!! like a month early to the day! it's a boy. his name is elys. she and hamadi will be the most adorable parents..i can't wait to see mini-landa!

i have fallen prey to girl scout cookies. our order (or ten freaking boxes) came in from the west coast this week and if there's an open box, i can't help but wander back to the kitchen to get another cookie. no good.

i got the best neck, shoulder massage EVER yesterday. i walked around the rest of the night, saying "my shoulders have never been this loose...this is crazy...they don't even feel attached to me...." go savannah for working that magic.

also, jennifer nettles is doing another solo show at eddie's easter weekend. i bought a ticket for friday night. yeah jenn!

bob and i went to athens on saturday night to go have a 90s trivial pursuit match-up with skye and stacey. i'm proud (and not surprised) to report that stacey and i emerged victorious. :) and the puppies had a ball too!

the l word was watched on sunday....christen was sassy and fiesty (too much red wine in her) and lauren taught me the "right way" to butter my corn...i'm very excited about that take-home knowledge. next time we eat corn here, i'll take a picture of the "right way." i also found great humor in the reference to "you chew it up, but..." which referred to the whole kernel elimination the day after consuming the corn...had never thought about that before.

ok. now i have to go run before it gets any colder. hopefully shadow will run with me and make me keep going even when i want to stop.
