accomplishment

well,
we got stuff accomplished today. here's a running list:

got up before 8 a.m. and did the dog jog - i saw kat and ollie there and also andrea's friend kristen and her boyfriend who ran with me in the oakhurst st patty's day 5K.

we then came home with ubu and shadow (shadow was sooooo good during our run. and even more people told me today that she is the most adorable dog. she was showered with compliments yesterday when christina and i took her to agnes scott for a walk.) then bob and i went to eat brunch at manuel's (which was really good) and then headed to lowe's where we bought a new door sweep for the front door, some vegetable plants, and a saw.

when we came home, i planted my tomatoes and my peppers and then mowed the grass while bob put on the new door sweep and got started on getting together our new bathroom door. after 3 hours of hard work, the new door was totally outfitted -- chiseled out all the necessary hinges and door jam, chiseled a layer off the top....and it is up and functional. yes, it took a LONG time. but it's done.

now, i've made hummus and am about to cook bob dinner while he gets a chance to relax (since he did most of the work...i just watched all of it and assisted when i coul - though i did get to chisel the top of the door to make it fit...but i was not as effective at it as bob is...i don't do anything that requires finesse, this is because i suck).

i have not studied for my final. however, i am pleased with the successes of the day. so that's a good thing. :) now, off to get prepped to cook.
