pictures pictures
here are some pictures that noah (my best best best friend as a kid) sent me. we were quite the little farm kids in that we raised doves (snow white ones...) and rabbits and chickens...and noah's parents gave us $3.50 for each of our 2 rabbits (lighning bolt and patches) who then mated and had babies, and they got us started on our doves which we bred too...but we were responsible for everything from feeding, cleaning, getting straw bales from the dairy to muck out their homes, etc....it was a great childhood...and, looking back, it taught us responsibility about other living creatures....my childhood is also when i decided i wanted to be a large animal vet...at times i'm still sad that i took a different route..however, i feel like i am able to give to and care for animals even now...i would still love to go back to rabbits and doves and chickens...and i'd add a horse and a cow. that would make me happy..
i know...i'm such a mess of contradictions...i hate everything about rural georgia and i'm pretty much a city girl now (i.e. i refuse to live anywhere but in-town), but then there's this farm girl in me that's still strong and loud...
