..there she was this morning getting fitted for her wings...leather boots magenta hair and saying nasty things...
it's been a while since i've blogged. i'm not sure why. i'm in a new state of relaxation. except that i think i just finished the last patricia cornwell book that stacey let us borrow and i'm in need for more. :) i think i may go buy the next one myself.
spring finals are over. i'm holding my breath to see what grade i get in OB. i would really hope to earn an A, but we shall see once gosolar has it posted. i'm still fostering snow - she's such a good girl. has gained some weight and her coat is looking better now. but i only have her until friday morning when i drop her off at the vet in marietta to get heartworm treatment. and then when bob and i get back from myrtle beach on monday, little chloe will be back here!!!
what else is going on...i'm really,really happy right now in life. there are so many things that i want to do and it seems like i'm getting the opportunity to do a lot of them. i just joined our neighborhood association and found out that kirkwood is having this great festival on the 14th with a tour of homes that' only $12. and i'm volunteering more these days (in addition to the volunteer work i do with fostering) - next weekend i'm also pouring wine at the oakhurst wine crawl. i've been to agnes scott several times in the last few week and re-connected with scotties.
at destiny's birthday party i got to see some people i haven't talked to in ages and it made me realize how much i miss what agnes scott allowed me to have -- friendships with so many and so varied a group of women...i'm really going to try to work on spending more time with them. the funny thing of saturday (other than the normal drunken debauchery) was that destiny said she'd heard i was engaged. yes. laughable. however, monday at the senior dinner that i got invited too, a friend of mine said that the "news" was making its way through the circles --- and her source was someone NOT AT ALL connected to destiny's source. the strange thing is -- no one from agnes scott has even asked any of those questions like "are you planning on getting married...do you think you'll get married soon," etc, which could get mis-interpreted in some crazy way maybe possibly. people...HELLO...it's not on my to-do list at all...have you seen my plan for the next month, much less the next year?? enough on that. bob's sister wendy is having her baby really soon - i'm betting for next thursday myself. let's see...that day is may 12th. anyway, i made more of rachel ray's thai chicken soup and took it up to wendy's so she can freeze it for after she gets home from the hospital and then we painted -- i painted the baby's new dresser and moved it up to the baby's room. it's fun to be part of the baby's life even though it's not going to be my baby by any means. and hopefully he'll enjoy the lullaby cd i made him and the delivery cds i made for wendy while he's working on making his way out of his momma. :)
i was also handy today b/c i used my fabulous powerdrill to remove the lightcover from the light on our porch and replaced the bulb. it was only a small degree of handy, but handy nonetheless.
ok. i'm going to go forage on my bookshelf for another book and finish watching law and order svu...
