ok.
note on the post below -- in a nut shell, Michael Cooney, edited (to a pretty great extent as you'll see when you read the article) the reports that GOVERNMENT scientists had done. these are not studies that the EPA did or any other pro-environment group..no, no...these studies were done by the freaking GOVERNMENT (i.e. bush's people). so, you can't argue that they were "editing to remove inflammatory content that those damn EPA people added" b/c there's no way those reports were anything but straight facts as the bush administration does not want to touch, much less deal with, the impact of greenhouse gases. my other point is, this guy who's "edits" appeared in the final reports issued is not even CLEARED TO COMMENT on the record as a white house spokeswoman says later in the article. but somehow, his changes are oh so readily incorporated into the findings of this study....this makes me so fucking mad. that and the fact that the republican camp is somehow going to change this whole story around and make the left look bad.
i don't care if it's left, right, or somewhere down the middle - we're fucking ruining our earth, the greenhouse effect is DIRECTLY linked to emissions (doesn't matter what party you affiliate with, your car still contributes), and we're too busy fudging the facts to even get anywhere near a point that is working on action plans or collaborating with the rest of the world in becoming more eco-conscious.
the end.
