2.05.2006 and i'm glad it's finally sunday...hopefully i'll get some down time to relax...friday i went to swim practice (where i've got to head in 40 minutes) and then bob and i kept up our late night flat iron friday tradition. yesterday was filled with over 6 hours of report writing, cleaning house, a brief respite to head to the farmer's mkt with cassi, and a visit by lyn and john --- we're approved!!! we'll probably get in 2 male papillons after the mill auction in missouri in a few weeks. sweet angels. i'll update on them as soon as i have more info after the auction. on the way home from the farmer's market, i went down s howard (i have to change it up every now and then) and there was a funeral at one of the large churches. just as i was coming up on the church, they were bringing the casket out and loading it into the hearse. i stopped about a car length back while they did all this...and felt so badly because the people were coming out of the church to watch, the pallbearers were maneuvering the coffin, and i felt that i was somehow intruding on someone's send-off... last night was the jovial, fun-filled, packed, sage burning, chanting, throw-down at cassi's. bob even made it and got to meet some of the cool kids club that he had not yet been able to place a face with a name. after we came home, there was knocking on the door (post midnight) and i freaked....there have been home invasions around here recently....so i was ready to call the cops and run out the back door. however, it was anita david and bob (with bolt cutters) and so then we had a beer with them and went out into the backyard to cut up some fence to give them. not often that you start doing yard work at 12:30 in the morning. i'm stoked about the superbowl shindig....even though it was a last minute decision, it'll be a blast with some of the most fun people attending. and yes...we are all cheering for the seahawks (with the exception of one mis-informed maryland transplant....she'll know better before the end of it). i wouldn't be surprised if sean and em showed up in "gear"....and if rachel and gooch came in and said "who's even playing" and i totally won't be surprised when andrea starts cheering for the browns, michelle for the bears, and liz for the bengals. that's right...it's gonna be superbowl craziness. plus, there are always the commercials. now - i have to spend 3 or 4 hours editing our d-----e report b/c barb's turning it over to the client tomorrow. i also have to go to practice. and then i have to cook. and i also have to spend about another hour on house tasks. and, finally, i have to go pick up wings at taco mac. yeah....that relaxing thing....not so much. p.s. yes, i am hung-over. from my 2.25 ciders. but not in a debilitating way -- that headachey ugh feeling kind of way. i'm gonna go swim it out. p.s. did you know that one of the NKOTB wore a bauhaus t-shirt in one of their videos? trivia learned from doug. 0 Comments: |
