Tomorrow, Wednesday the 15th - the Guinness Perfect Pint pouring contest will be held at Taco Mac in Decatur. You should all attend as this event occurs annually at a different bar in the Atlanta area. I attended several years ago when it was held at Rose & Crown (though the bartender i was cheering for - from Manuel's, did not win). The event brings in bar-tenders from every reputable bar in the city (and some in the metro area), because a taco mac bartender won last year, taco mac gets to hold the competition this year. They're going to have cameras recording the action and then broadcasting the image to all the big screens in the restaurant so that you can sit anywhere and have a good vantage point. Pouring begins at 7:30 i think. It'll go til 10 or so i'm guessing. your one and only favorite bartender will be returning to the taco mac to put in a cameo appearance behind the bar tomorrow evening.
so, come by...drink a Guinness...or at least a good porter....and say hi. i'll be looking for ya.
