laura stucki!!! poor girl - after september i really lived in inman the rest of the year...i think i slept in my dorm room 2 nights second semester...
5. Where did you live?
winship - 3rd floor - where ALL the cool kids lived
6. Did you get homesick?
not at all. never went back home again....at least for more than 3 nights...
7. Who were the first people you met?
stucki, then 2 seniors from the soccer team -- sarah and someone else...and then i'm sure chippyroo, davis, jams, and balazs, amanda king and yolanda were not far behind...
8. What classes did you take? Can you remember?
first semester - intro to psych, bio 120, calculus, fitness swimming, english 101
second semester - developmental psych, eng 102, bio 121, intro to music, african history - from post-colonialism to present (or something similar to that title)
9. What was your favorite class?
i probably learned the most in african history...bio was probably my fave.
10. Did you actually attend classes?
always....i don't think i missed a single class my first semester (except a few of the p.e. ones)
11. What were you planning on majoring in?
bio (pre-vet)
12. What did you end up majoring in?
well...i went from bio to psych...added a major in socio/anthro, subsequently dropped that, then my junior year i began an econ/business major which i finished in addition to the psycho one...
13. Who was your favorite professor?
jenny or redmond...i loved phil for a while but after he came the biggest bastard of the earth i removed my stamp of approval
14. Did you have a job?
i was a lifeguard and then a student worker for ayse in the psych department
15. What song(s) remind you of starting college?
"“Drive Me Crazy” by Britney Spears, “Meet Virginia” by Train, “Goodbye Earl” by the Dixie Chicks, and “Mambo Number Five” by Who the F*ck Knows" -- emilie pegged most of them...i remember stucki and i dancing around like crazy in our dorm room to britney spears....
16. What song(s) remind you of finishing your freshman year?
i don't remember any specific ones...
17. What was the first party you went to?
the ONLY frat party i ever attended was the first night i moved in to school -- stucki and the soccer gals took me out to tech (we snuck out of the end of our hall meeting)...at least i can say i did it once. that was more than enough.
18. Where did you go for spring break?
i went up to ohio state to visit melissa. don't remember what else.
19. What did you like to drink?
ohhhh, "tequila night" was the beginning of the end...i became a tequila gal...mimosas were yummy, too.
20. Where did you hang out?
inman, raging burrito, eddie's attic, american roadhouse, the quad...
21. Who did you hang out with?
sprout, katie fidanza, kim hill, christie hunt, balazs, davis, jams, chippyroo, pony, susan wiseman, and on and on and on....
22. Are you still friends with the people from the question above?
it's hard when those close to you are scattered across the u.s. and the world....most everyone i can pick up the phone and call.

ally mcbeal & ER were traditions watched on 3rd floor winship

it was probably 4 weddings & a funeral already.

dining hall or we walked across the street to our way or oz.

of course.
28. What kind of car did you drive?
toyota corolla
29. What is your favorite memory?
i'd second emilie - black cat....everything about it....from jelena's "good idea" to use car chalk to decorate the campus green (which then permanently STAINED the letters on the "irene and geore k woodruff" quad WALL.....the pranks, first JP, being handed a nalgene of mimosas by my senior "crew" before heading in to JP, everything except our dumb-ass fucking mascot....whoever the hell chose "peter pan" deserved to be shot...good thing we fixed in the next year and morphed into "poison ivy"
30. What is your funniest memory?
hmmm....there are so many. getting sent to the dean's office...for the second time? tequila libations, JP our junior year....seniors doing keg stands in front of the president and dean's....capping week (both the year i was subjected to it and the year i organized it)....planning a camp-out on MBB's lawn where we all kept scooching down the hill all night and ended up in front of the door (she laughed and invited us all in for coffee in the morning)....bubbling and dying the alumnae pond green (multiple times).....i would say the funniest memories were pretty much all connected to on-campus drinking....
31. What is your worst memory?
the months of february and march my sophomore year....thank god i had friends who pulled me out of that black hole of not eating (ever), sleeping, or even doing my school work.
32. What is your stupidest memory?
i'm sure it entailed drunk karoake at trackside...we LOVED the divinyl's "when i think about you i touch myself" song....
33. What do you miss the most about your freshman year in college?
sitting on the quad, just HANGING OUT in general....going to EATS to study and it seeming perfectly normal for a gaggle of gals to sit around munching on soul food and reading upper-level biology....my 3rd floor winship gal pals, that sense of wonderment....giving you the feeling that the world is right there...waiting for you to make your way through it...
34. What do you miss the least from your freshman year in college?
calculus
35. Would you do your freshman year over again?
just a week....and not even freshman year necessarily...i would love to go back and just have a week of my life at agnes....
