8 seconds left in overtime....

must've been exhausted beyond belief -- fell asleep at 3 and woke up again at 6.

leo's cracking me up - he's walking around with a bag of "beggin strips" in his mouth - imagine a 4 lb. dog with something taller than him trying to carry it...

east atlanta beer festival was a blast (after the two quick downpours made way for gorgeous skies)....we got to hang out with good people we never see - fred, stanley, squires...and then we had the good times of par-tay at the crawford/rhein house...mmmm for grilling out post a day at the beer festival. got to see some of our neighbors we never get to hang out with and juliet who i don't get to see often enough and now we're gonna work on training together for the peachtree....and good peeps like robin and shelley and memphis....however, we were tuckered the hell out last night. bob was asleep by 11 and i followed not too long after...though i did manage to stay awake another 30 minutes and continue reading "lamb" -- which i'm still not really sure i like...but that's for book club conversation, is it not..

trivia at the local this wednesday post run. somehow, i just went out for a short run on friday night and it ended up being 3 miles straight (including the MONSTER hill - cassi, once you're in 'da hood' we can just make it a workout itself -- meet there and then run it several times...)

i have to advocate blue frog cantina and their plantains. la casita can't touch blue frog when it comes to my much-loved maduros and so i'm switching my plantain loyalty there. plus, blue frog is about to start 80s trivia which we all were saddened over its loss at la casita....

took my mom to the botanical garden today - we had lots of fun and i took a lot of pictures...i'll post some of them eventually. we then tried to go to our favorite greek restaurant but it's not open for lunch - so we had the next best thing - the mediterranean grill at n decatur and clairmont.

i FINALLY found the perfect dress yesterday for the wedding...very pretty...and i am so glad that emily didn't tell me i had to wear a specific dress....b/c the one i found is so very me...in addition to the wedding this weekend, barb and i have fun gals' day on friday and are going to the aquarium and for a massage before i meet up the wedding crew to get our nails done and go to the rehearsal dinner...what a day of pampering!!!

now - to go treat my migraine and head to the airport...
