break the silver lining.

i've been remiss in posting...again.

but i used putting up a post as a reward for the spring cleaning i'm battling through. not sure what about a horrendously intense day at work spurred me to come home and put my tired self to work on baseboards, blinds, etc...but there you go.

i'm very much missing my porch-swing friends...you know, those friends who you could simply sit on the porch, swinging slowly, silent, and be in perfect bliss. i wish they didn't live in states far away. at least i have a swing date with kenshata via phone tonight.

saw melissa ferrick @ eddie's last night. was amazingly surprised at how much i enjoyed the show - i saw her in '01 and '02 and hated both shows (with the exception of my first exposure to tegan and sara at the '01 show). but i had a good time (realized i don't actually relax very often anymore...especially not on tuesday evenings).

read a great book recently - for book club - The Secret History
i highly recommend it - though it is quite long, it has such great character development - and i'm not one who often feels that way.

beulah is about to be adopted -- 14 months later...it's going to break my heart - she is so very much "momma's girl." but she'll be in a great home with a great new mom and it will good for her. bootcamp is going well the 2nd time around - on our tabata test, i rocked it on my push-ups, sit-ups, and squats...the 5:20 alarm is none to easy though.

back to cleaning - i've indulged too long.
