the reasons why i love this picture: 1) it's real. it's not posed, we're not aware we're being shot - friday night football in high school. 2) kenshata looks to me the introspective one for some reason - the hat covering the face a bit, the coffee, blowing the steam, taking everything in with her eyes. i look like the one who's all talky talky, bubble bubble - i'm obviously talking to someone, i've got a damn PAW on my face and i'm wearing gear. i'm rah-rah girl. she looks the antithesis of it. 3) it's kenshata and me. together there, so different but still there, in that moment, together.
